The Personal Connection

This piece is one of my favorites from Jeanne and Dana because it makes me think of my younger brother who passed away years ago. When he was a teenager with dreams of becoming a professional surfer, he was always chasing the perfect wave. Unfortunately, his plans were derailed when he was just getting started. This piece, with, what I like to call, its phantom surfer, reminds me of him and the happiness he found out on the ocean. To me, it feels like a tribute to those fleeting moments of joy and the relentless pursuit of one's dreams.
