Cucumber aroma comes from fragrance oil, there is no cucumber in the bar. Castor oil supports the lather. After washing, a well-drained resting spot helps keep the bar from sitting in water and softening.

The traditional cold-process method transforms those oils and a lye solution into soap. The bars then cure as excess water evaporates, helping them become firmer and last longer in use.
